Project Overview
John Lewis, a leading British retailer, has an ongoing commitment to showcasing its kidswear collections through vibrant, engaging campaigns that appeal to parents and children alike. These shoots focus on celebrating the brand’s stylish, high-quality clothing for kids while emphasising practicality, comfort, and fun. As an Art Director, I have helped craft the visual language of these campaigns to resonate with the brand’s audience.
Scope of Work
- Led the creative direction for kidswear photoshoots, ensuring alignment with John Lewis’s brand values and aesthetics.
- Developed concepts and mood boards to guide the shoot’s styling and overall visual tone.
- Collaborated with photographers, stylists, and production teams to create engaging, family-friendly imagery.
- Oversaw on-set execution, ensuring each element worked cohesively to reflect the playful and practical nature of the clothing.

As Art Director for John Lewis’s kidswear shoots, my role involves bringing the brand’s vision to life through dynamic and relatable visuals. I begin by developing concepts that highlight the key features of the collection, such as versatility, comfort, and seasonal trends, while maintaining the brand’s emphasis on quality and style.
Working closely with stylists, ensuring the clothing is styled in a way that showcases its fit and functionality, while also capturing the energy and personality of children at play. The set designs are crafted to create a warm, approachable feel, often incorporating bright, natural lighting and interactive elements to encourage authentic moments during the shoot.
The resulting campaigns consistently highlight the quality and charm of John Lewis kidswear, reinforcing the brand’s reputation as a trusted retailer for families. These shoots not only showcase the clothing but also tell a story that resonates with parents looking for style, durability, and comfort for their children.
